Day 2 - Fallon, Nevada to Salt Lake City, Utah

We left Fallon, NV, in the morning and without talking about it, we both knew we didn't want to take I 80. We looked at each other, where do we go? Hwy 50 was the choice we both made. Hwy 50 in Nevada is said to be the loneliest road on the Continent. Well we probably passed three cars and saw a car going west every two to three miles within the 255 mile trip to Ely. Love this road.
Hwy 50 - no car in front of us and no one behind us.
We crossed the Pony Express Trail several times

From Ely we moved north to Wendover where we crossed the stateline to Utah.We drove over seven or eight summits and two mountain passes on the route.

  2. This is your friend ~dj with the wild and wandering imagination. Nevada brings to mind Area 51, which of course is rich in the folklore as the home for UFOs and our alien friends from space.
